GENE BLAKELY, actor, appeared on stage in legitimate theatre, including Phoenix Little Theatre, summer stock, road shows, movies and television. He helped found the Actors Theatre of Phoenix in 1985. Blakely actively became a collector of theatre and film materials. The collection contains 2,000 monographs, framed and unframed photographs, memorabilia, scripts, sound recordings and sheet music relating to theatre, film, and television reflecting Blakely's work in all media, spanning a 40 year career.
