| CRAZY FOR YOU TAKES THE BUCKS COUNTY PLAYHOUSE STAGE FOR THREE WEEKS BEGINNING, JUNE 13, 2007
The all singing, all dancing, all Gershwin musical, Crazy For You returns to the Bucks County Playhouse after a highly successful run during the 2002 Season. Crazy For You will be performed on the Playhouse stage from Wednesday, June 13 through Sunday, July 1, 2007. A tale of boy meets girl in the Wild West, the plot of Crazy For You centers on Bobby Child, the rich son of a banking family who is sent to forclose a mortgage on a theatre in Deadrock, Nevada. Bobby arrives in Deadrock where he meets and falls in love with Polly, the daughter of the theatre’s owner. He then sets out to save the theatre and win Polly’s heart. With a musical score filled with memorable George and Ira Gershwin tunes, Crazy For You features songs such as Someone To Watch Over Me, I Got Rhythm, They Can’t Take That Away From Me and Embraceable You. Playhouse favorite, Louis Palena reprises the role of Bobby Child in Crazy For You a role he first played during the 2002 Season. Audiences know Louis from many roles over the years most notably the Cat in the Hat in Seussical, the Emcee in Cabaret and Billy Lawlor in 42nd Street. Anne Barr returns to the Playhouse stage as Polly. Anne made her Bucks County Playhouse debut last season playing the leading roles of Amneris in Aida and Ellen in Miss Saigon. Crazy For You will be directed and choreographed by Playhouse Artistic Director, Stephen Casey. Now in his 10th season as Artistic Director, Stephen has directed and choreographed some of the Playhouse’s most critically acclaimed productions, including Chicago, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and A Chorus Line, to name a few. The Bucks County Playhouse Box Office is now fully ONLINE. Tickets can be purchased by going to the Bucks County Playhouse web site at www.buckscountyplayhouse.com. The Bucks County Playhouse production of Crazy For You runs from Wednesday, June 13 through Sunday, July 1, 2007. Performances are Wednesday and Thursday at 2 PM and 8 PM, Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 4 PM and 8 PM and Sunday at 2 PM. Ticket prices are $23.00 to $25.00. A “Day of Show” discount is available to students ages 21 and under and all active military. Discounts are available day of only with valid identification.
